Maria Cristina holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2012) and has been working in the field of Executive Production in the audiovisual sector since 2015 in partnership with B7 Films. She studied business at The University of Birmingham Business School (2010) and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations (2021) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with her dissertation titled “Policies to Foster the Audiovisual Sector and Challenges for Insertion in the International Market.”
She worked as an Executive Producer on the documentary “Detours of Coxilha Rica” (2017), which recounts the history of the mountainous plateau region of Santa Catarina and was awarded second place at the Legislative Assembly Cinema Award in 2019. She also worked as an Executive Producer on the documentary “Meiembipe: A Story Forgotten in Time” (2018), a documentary about the pre-Columbian populations that inhabited the coast of Santa Catarina, which tied for third place with two other works at the same Legislative Assembly Festival.
