Cristina Baggio

Maria Cristina holds a degree in Economics from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2012) and has been working in the field of Executive Production in the audiovisual sector since 2015 in partnership with B7 Films. She studied business at The University of Birmingham Business School (2010) and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations (2021) from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, with her dissertation titled “Policies to Foster the Audiovisual Sector and Challenges for Insertion in the International Market.”

She worked as an Executive Producer on the documentary “Detours of Coxilha Rica” (2017), which recounts the history of the mountainous plateau region of Santa Catarina and was awarded second place at the Legislative Assembly Cinema Award in 2019. She also worked as an Executive Producer on the documentary “Meiembipe: A Story Forgotten in Time” (2018), a documentary about the pre-Columbian populations that inhabited the coast of Santa Catarina, which tied for third place with two other works at the same Legislative Assembly Festival.

In 2019, she worked on the documentary "Art, Innovation, and Sustainability" and on the biography of one of the leading entrepreneurs of the new generation in the state of Santa Catarina, titled "From Falls to the Top: The Journey of João Neto." In 2022, two more works on which she served as Executive Producer were released: "Riches of the Sierra" and "Why Florianópolis?".

She is currently working on the documentaries "Riches of the Valley" and "Riches of the Coast," of which she is the proposer. She has contributed to the distribution of the works after technical content analysis by the State Department of Education to the 36 Regional Education Coordinators of the State, on Cable TVs, and on digital platforms (Google Play, iTunes, Amazon, Now, and Net-Claro-TV), as well as participating in the submission of the works to festivals.
